A boudoir photoshoot can make for a great first wedding anniversary gift because it allows the couple to celebrate their love and commitment to each other in a romantic and intimate way. The photographs can serve as a reminder of their wedding day and the love they shared on that day, and they can also be a way for the couple to celebrate their growth and connection in the year since they got married.
Ms M came to us to create some boudoir photos for her husband for their first wedding anniversary, also known as the ‘Paper’ wedding anniversary (ideal for albums and wall art!!!). She particularly wanted to incorporate her wedding veil, as a memento from the day.
Well, challenge accepted and you can decide whether we understood the assignment! During the session we had our intern Sharna assisting. Sharna and I worked together to get a stunning range of photos for M to choose from to gift to her hubby. I’m so proud of these photos and I loved using a black and white film treatment on some of the images to create a quiet, intimate feel. M also has a gorgeous skin tone that looks divine in her photos and a beautiful, bright smile which she (and we) loves, and so her photos also looked stunning in colour.
Here’s a few of my faves from her session – Hayley xo
