If you’re thinking about booking a boudoir session but feel like you have a million questions, you’re not alone—and you’re in exactly the right place.
Every week, I chat with women who are nervous, excited, curious, or just trying to figure out whether boudoir photography is really for them. And honestly? I love it.
Because asking questions means you’re considering doing something bold. Something brave. Something just for you.
So today, I’m answering three of the most common questions I get, to help you feel more confident and informed as you think about your own boudoir experience.

“How did you get into boudoir photography?”
This one’s personal, and I never get tired of sharing it.
When I started, I was a newly single mum, navigating a new life after leaving a DV relationship. I was using my photography skills to keep us afloat when a friend asked me to shoot some intimate photos as a gift for her partner before their wedding. At the time, I didn’t even know what boudoir photography was!
I did the shoot, loved it, but didn’t think much more of it—until about a year later, when a woman going through a divorce reached out. She wanted to do a boudoir session for herself. That session changed everything.
I realised boudoir wasn’t just a gift for someone else—it was a gift for you. It’s confidence, healing, celebration, and fun all rolled into one. That’s when I knew I’d found my purpose.

“Do I need to bring my own lingerie?”
You absolutely can bring your own pieces—and once you’re booked in, we’ll send you a detailed lingerie guide to help you choose outfits that photograph beautifully in our studio and style.
We usually aim for 3–4 outfit changes during your custom session, and if you’re feeling a bit unsure about what to bring, don’t stress. We also have a size-inclusive client wardrobe at the studio with all kinds of options—everything from soft and romantic to bold and spicy.
Whatever your vibe, we’ll help you feel supported and confident every step of the way.

“Do you offer payment plans?”
We sure do! Most of our clients choose a pre-session payment plan because it gives them access to some lovely little perks (hello, bonuses!).
You can chip away at your favourite photo collection between now and your shoot date, which makes it easier to budget—and feel excited about what’s coming. We also offer post-session plans if you need a little more time. No stress, no pressure, just options that suit you.
